Dr. Banionis is a board-certified physician that has trained extensively in traditional interventional pain management as well as regenerative medicine. His goal is to help patients maximize function by utilizing traditional interventional methods and incorporating state of the art regenerative techniques, such as stem cell therapy and PRP. Dr. Banionis is an expert in minimally invasive techniques using live imaging, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound directed needle guidance, to precisely deliver medication and biologic products to areas of tissue damage. Precise needle guidance is particularly important when injecting into sensitive areas around the spine and joints, to maximize repair and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Dr. Banionis is Board Certified in Pain Management by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehab and is also Board Certified by the American Board of Disability Analysts and American Board of Internal Medicine. He is one of the few physicians in South Florida who have completed a fellowship in Stem Cell therapy and provide expertise in this emerging technology. He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and is certified by the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine. He has been recognized for his expertise by the state of Florida and has worked as a Medical Expert for the Florida Board of Medicine. Dr. Banionis is honored to have served with distinction in the U.S. Army Reserve and was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1996. He is a professional member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and Society for Pain Practice Management.
